SCYA Midwinters at MBYCFebruary 19 - 20
Story
It was howlin' all weekend long on Mission Bay for the Southern
California Vanguard 15 Midwinter's Regatta. The ability to depower and
keep the boat driving was the key to success. Congratulations to Tracey
Treaccar and Steve Hunt who consistently did it better than everybody
else.

On Saturday, stormy conditions in the morning brought winds from the
south, an atypical direction, at 10-18 knots with gusts over 25 knots.
The Southerly continued to blow on Sunday, but was more consistent at
about 15 knots with puffs up to 20 knots.

Thanks to the MBYC Race Committee for dealing with the wind and bad
weather. Also thanks to Jeff Marsh for hosting a BBQ on Saturday night.
